I have to keep reminding myself why I started this blog business in the first place. As time moves on, I sometimes forget that my original intent was to post warnings about some of the very bad components of this business. Of course I offer my e-book which truly is a byproduct of everything else.   Also, I often use the site to just “vent”. Believe me, this business has gone crazy and although I think everyone is making more money I also think it is more critical nowadays to look around and see who is doing what. As much as I may have complained about some companies’ practices in the past, I now see some companies with a gluttonous greed for market share and income. Gluttony to the point of regurgitation. Since I love to be original, I call it “Regurgitated Greed”. Since you don’t want this crap to spew out on you, keep a safe distance and an open eye.
Just exactly what in the heck brought about this, my latest attack? It is such a small thing but it is also an ideal example of gluttony and greed. My particular complaint this time concerns a property inspection we have been doing for almost eighteen months, every month. When we received the very first assignment, eighteen months ago mind you; we found that the assignment had the wrong address. We could not find the address on the assignment so we looked in the tax records and found that the address given to us was one digit off. In case you weren’t looking I will point out that that means they gave us the wrong address. We notated the error on the inspection form, took the picture of the correct property – with a visible address I might add – and sent it on it’s way. Everything goes real smooth for the next seventeen months.
A lot can happen in eighteen months. There is now a new building that has the address of the original wrong address. Actually it’s been there for a while now; built in the frenzied condo overbuilding era.  By the way, two of the 102 units are occupied! So, back on track now…
A new rep started working this area last month. Guess what? This rep easily found a 102 unit condo at the address given on the inspection order. Yes, thats right, they have never changed the address on the order form.  And, our wonderfully talented and hard-working new office person performed her job flawlessly and sent picture and results to the glutton.  All hell breaks loose! The end of the world and all other unimaginable catastrophes befall mankind – the pictures don’t match!
You really do know the rest of the story. Seems that company policy dictates the gluttonous company must penalize us and retrieve all monies paid for inspections at this property for the last eighteen months. Although we were consistently at the correct property and reporting the error every month they now have proof that we were not at the address given on the inspection request. Hence, we were reporting on the wrong property. Which was the right property. But the wrong property! Which is ….. Dang, you know what I’m trying to say here.
Logic has no place in conversations with this company. They rely totally on computer analysis of our services and common sense is ignored completely. I’ll have to back down a bit on that one though – the common sense thing; because I deeply feel that they may have no common sense. Can’t ignore what you don’t see!
These types of companies are not crack cocaine. We can walk away anytime. I’m now trying to figure out why I want to do business with a company that puts us through all this in the first place?
I pray I’m there when the end comes. I want to enjoy the stench and the visual of this company hugging the toilet. It’s coming.
Okay. I’m through. I feel much better.Â

I stumbled across your page when I first began doing this line of work a little over a year ago, I’ll just say it’s nice to hear your stories.
