Circle The Wagons

I was in a part of town today that is really an OK place. It may not be the first area of town that others would choose to live in, but its really OK.
You know me. I’ll find an excuse to do anything that adds a little diversity and excitement to life. You may even think I waste too much time with trivial things – but you know what? That’s me. Besides, it didn’t really take that long.
There was a detour due to road construction. The road has always been a pretty busy street running north and south. A lot of people use this road going to and coming from work. Well, I happened to be on the detour during the afternoon “gettin off time” and I watched some of the drivers that had to use this road instead of their normal rat run.
I was so entertained, I parked my car and set on the hood with my camera taking pictures. The facial expressions were hilarious. I guess some of these people had never seen some of the sights only one block off from their routine lives. I guess I’m simple minded but it reminded me of some of the old westerns I’ve seen. The drivers got closer and closer together going through the neighborhood. They were really closing the gap between the wagons.
It wouldn’t be nice to show the photos but I’ve got some nice open mouths, a few covered mouths and lots of raised eyebrows. By the way, I don’t think any of them knew I was taking pictures – I was a little ways away with a zoom lens.
Now, to make sure you realize how dull my day was, I’ll tell you that was the most exciting thing that happened to me all day. Oh yea, lots of rush orders today and all due today.  And two interior inspections. (22•10)+(14•6.50)+(2•10)
I’m going to go work on one of my projects for a while. See you tomorrow.
